Time to Go.

Preparing and packing for a move...bleh.

I won't be around much. I hope to be back by early October.

My ex said that he'd help, but trusting in him is like 50-50...

(Not only is he a professional mover - he also owes me money, so we figure that he can pay off his big debt by helping me move)...

But like I said before - 50% of him is very flakey.

(I have a feeling that once I return to my journal here, I'm goinna' be very pissed off regarding him).

...I forgot to mention that Pep DID flake on me...fucking asshole.

My mom ended up paying for the movers...also, I was able to stay in town, and move to a cheaper place. Thank God for Mom...Pep can go to Hell!

WTF...

I just found out from my brother George that our great Aunt Bee died at the end of August, and was cremated. None of the family was notified.

A woman who befriended my aunt was living with her; she moved in her kids and grandkids, and took over the place. Drug-dealing was taking place, and my aunt's once beautiful big house is now in shambles.

Before my dad died, he was working with my aunt's attorney to have the freeloaders removed from the property; now my brother is trying to sort things out.

I don't care about whatever assets my aunt had; what is really pissing me off is that she was taken advantage of and used over the years with the onset of Alzheimer's. My brother told me that he'd frequently go by her house to check on her, and wouldn't be allowed in. He called the police to tell them of the situation, and they said that unless something was happening in front of them, there was nothing they could do. (In the end, my aunt was placed in a rest home, while that woman and her brood stayed in her house).

My Aunt Bee was always helping others in need; she always had a place for family and friends to stay. I remember the fun summers my sisters and I had with her as kids - she was a lot of fun.

She deserved better.

2 cool videos from an Iranian band. Since they are in a conservative Islamic republic, they are underground of course, as hard rock is banned.

By the way - their vocalist is female!

Burial.

James and I buried Gypsy in the back of the complex right at the base of a big tree. Luckily, it was done pretty quickly since the soil wasn't hard; James came home on his lunch break to dig the hole for me. We covered her up nicely, and James made the earth look undisturbed.

I miss my lil' Gypsy so much.

Thank you, Freyja...you are a sweetheart.

I am lucky to have such friends as Carrie and James. (I don't have many friends). Carrie is sick right now, yet James took time from work to dig that hole for me, and cover it up.

Gypsy's Gone.

02:01 Sep 08 2009
Times Read: 1,657

I got up this morning to feed the cats. I noticed that they were all sitting in various spots throughout the apartment. They were very quiet, which was strange, as they are all pretty animated in the AM for breakfast. Usually, I'm pestered by Crunch - the big fat tuxedo - and/or by Ivanna - the Egyptian Mau.

I noticed that Gypsy wasn't at the foot of the bed, so I went into the bathroom to see if she was where I left her last night - all comfy on a perch on top of the towel rack. It wasn't odd, as she likes to sleep there a lot. I started talking to her as I usually do, and I scratched her under her chin. She didn't respond. There was no movement from her - she wasn't breathing. Her eyes were half shut, and her mouth was open. I gently lifted her up - she was as stiff as a board.

The tears welled up in my eyes immediately. I had hoped that she would have lasted until another week or two, as I had planned on euthanizing her while in my arms, so she wouldn't be alone. It seems that Gypsy didn't want to wait. I'd like to think that she went peacefully in her sleep, although I wish that I was with her in her final moments. A part of me feels guilty for crying over her so much, as I didn't cry like this for my dad when he passed away this year in March.

Well - I've put her in a plastic bag and placed a beautiful picture of her on it, with her name and age. Then I put her in a small box and taped it up. I called Carrie and cried some more. She and James will help me bury her, or take her to the animal shelter tomorrow...I need to see if they will cremate her and give me her ashes. If not, we'll have to be careful about burying her...maybe we can find somewhere nice. She was a good sweet cat.

(And now I'm crying again - damn it).

Thanks, you two. I guess the one saving grace is that the other cats didn't see me taking her away in the carrier, and not returning with her...

Awwwwwwwww, Honey I am so sorry. It is hard to lose a pet, and not even 3 weeks ago someone poisoned my Siberian Husky - but also lost one of our 7 cats here last week as well. It hurts badly. *Hugs* The other cats will be extra sensitive to you now, and might decide to drive you a little crazy, lol.

WTF!!!

21:52 Sep 07 2009
Times Read: 1,667

I'm already having a bad day due to my oldest cat Gypsy dying late last night (I will write a separate entry regarding my lil' baby later)...

When I went back to bed - basically crying myself to sleep, I was awakened later in the morning by a woman yelling "You fucking bitch! You are going to hell!" followed shortly by a window breaking.

I didn't see her, but I recognized the woman's voice - it was one of the tenants in the complex -I'll call her R.

R was having a fuckin' fit - I don't know what brought it on - I do know that she is on some type of meds though. She went bat-shit crazy! She was yelling at everyone - even used a couple of racial slurs which shocked me, as she is usually quiet, mild-mannered, and nice to everybody.

(She's been at my place a few times for coffee, and loved my cats)...anyway, R is knocking over plants, swearing to kill everyone with her 'army', while smashing more windows with her fist. Pets and kids are crying, and people are gathered at the far end of the pool while she's on the other side, cussin' everybody out. She goes away, only to come back with her hand wrapped in a towel, and proceeds to break more windows

(I'm glad that my place is an upstairs apartment)...

My friend Carrie comes out to try to calm her down - R yells at her and screams "Fuck you! Fuck you too!" then tears up the place some more. Of course, no one is crazy enough to go near this woman - she ain't exactly tiny - plus she's ex military. I - and others - called the cops awhile ago, and they seem to be taking their sweet time coming. By the time they arrive, this place could be in ruins, and someone could get seriously hurt - including R.

R is waving her bloody towel in the air, still screaming...and tearing up shit. I hear sirens - now they come! About 5 cops back her into a corner, and finally tackle her - she is still screaming and freaking out...

...Later, I hope to find out what triggered her breakdown. From what I've heard so far, she was getting evicted - not sure why though. (It would explain why she zeroed in on the manager's place for her mass destruction). Also, she probably didn't have money to cover the meds she needed, so the bi-polar disorder kicked in. Whatever the reasoning is behind her chaos, it is still sad. When some of the other tenants were laughing at the chaos, I asked them what was so damn funny...they quieted down and looked sheepish.

Maybe it's good that I will move down to Twin Peaks by next month.

Yesterday, I found out form the manager that R was being evicted for harrassing and threatening her upstairs neighbors - something that has been going on for 2 years! I had no idea!

I DO NOT WANT TO MOVE!!!

04:28 Sep 03 2009
Times Read: 1,685

I'm lazy, so I'll just paste what I said in my coven forum:

I'm usually on VR a lot - about half of the time lurking...

Next month - I don't know. As I'm not having any luck finding a real job and my unemployment benefits will soon run out, I may be moving to southern Cal to live with my youngest sis for a bit...

I do not want to move! And from what I can see, the job situation is even worse where she lives. But it looks inevitable...shit - better than being homeless. So, I won't be on much by the end of this month and/or in October...but once I settle in - I'll be back on VR more!

(At least I get to keep all of my kitties)!

Moving is a LOT of hard work...!!!
